Immigration Law refers to the policies maintained by the Canadian government. These laws concern the immigration and deportation of people from other nations to Canada and Canadian territories.
Immigration Law concerns foreign citizens and is related to nationality law which covers the legal status of individuals in matters such as citizenship. Immigration laws vary depending on the country as well in accordance with the current political climate which can often have a real effect with regards to new immigrants from certain countries.
In Canada, as with all countries, immigration law is regulated by international law.
